Day of Public Painting....
All things converged today as Ha Ha, Meggs, and Vexta, in town for the all-Aussie Young & Free exhibit, made it down to the Mission for a day of public painting. Ha Ha painted his infamous Ned Kelly piece as well as some Geronimo portraits on the new collaborative mural that's going up (Cy Wagoner, Todd Hanson, Scott Williams, Russell Howze, and others) by the Project 2048 entrance. Meggs and Vexta dropped pieces down the block on the edge of CELLspace's muraled walls.

Please Consider Donating to CELLspace
CELL NEEDS YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO MAKE EMERGENCY REPAIRS AND KEEP OUR DOORS OPEN!
Those of you who have been to CELLspace know how magical and unique our 2050 Bryant Street location is; it is one of the last spaces of its kind in the Bay Area.
For several months, in a joint venture with San Francisco IndieFest, CELLspace has been preparing for the final stages of installing a new fire exit as required by the City of San Francisco Planning Department. This new fire exit is critical to becoming an adequate Place of Assembly. Without it we will not be able to host any large events of any kind. Event rentals pay 75% of our core operating expenses.

Swiss Artist rips1 Paints Some Wall
rips1 has added the latest pieces of eclectic art to the exterior walls at CELLspace. Several of the brick columns between murals have gone underutilized for work. SWOON's wheatpast and Joel Berger's creative continuation of a diptich mural piece have used the columns. Stencilada artists Tiago and Peat have added work to these areas as well. Now Swiss artist rips1 has joined the fun.

Expect to see a bit more from rips1, because plans are in the works for a CELLspace artist collaboration. More to come, if the rain goes away!
