Dandelion Dancetheater

Through dance, collided with experimental theater, video, writing, music and image, Dandelion Dancetheater aims a kinesthetic microscope at the ever-changing intricacies of the human heart. Our emotionally-driven work is grounded in a fascination with the intersections of risk-taking and accessibility, where we invite people to feel, remember, reflect and transform.
Below are video excerpts from Dandelion's recent performance piece DROP, that came out of a 6 month residency, working site-specific at CELLspace.
Make sure to check out the company's next site-specific work: OUST May 9 - 18 at CELLspace (two different programs per night, 7pm and 8:30 pm)
OUST examines the dynamics of displacement, dislocation, immigration and the search for home through the lens of dance/theater from around the globe. Three physically integrated dance/theater companies (performers with and without disabilities) collaborate on the shows, turning our ideas about dance, performance, body image, community and the interior of CELLspace on their heads.
Featuring work by Dandelion Dancetheater (San Francisco), Mayday Dance Company (Montreal), Jacques Poulin-Denis (Montreal), Nadia Adame/Company Y (Madrid), and the CSUEB Dance for All Bodies and Abilities Program (Hayward).
