The CELLspace Milonga

WEEKLY

Every Wednesday night 9-12pm
8-9pm Beginners & Intermediate Class

$10 Class & Milonga; $5 Milonga only

The Cellspace alternative Milonga is an effort to balance out the  
wonderful classic tango events throughout SF and the Bay Area with a  
progressive community endeavor. Checkout the Project Tango DJ Resource  
page for more info on alternative dj'ing & music! We are developing a  
pool of alternative DJ's that are featured on a regular basis,  
including a DJ Duel usually held on the 4th Weds. of each month. From  
time to time we also put on special theme nights and have performances  
of various art forms (not just tango)!

This is a "politically neutral" tango event with all attempts directed  
towards minimal interruptions & maximum dance time during the evening.  
A flyer table is provided for all folks to advertise their classes &  
events, however, detailed verbal announcements will not be made. After  
a performance, a brief verbal announcement is permitted to promote a  
relavent class or event pertaining to the performers.

This 45 minute show of aerial acrobatics, stilting and contortion has- 
been known to make grown men cry and two year olds say I love you!

STITCH is a story as small as a photograph and as broad as a moment.  
Tip toeing the line between subtlety and spectacle, STITCH is an  
exploration of connection, potential, and dysfunction inherent to  
human relationship. A look inside the emotional landscape of two  
humans,broken and isolated, who find redemption in autonomy and  
interdependence. Ricochet uses emotionally potent  
physicality,virtuosic circus technique, and contemporary  
experimentalism to explore the stitch that we get ourselves into, and  
the stitch that ultimately sews us all together.

For your imagination and sensation, a series of connected and  
unconnected solos by the individual lights creating "c(H)ord,  
premiering at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in April.

There will be a Silent Auction to help raise funds!
